Mil Palmeras
The strip of Mil Palmeras is a short walk from the apartment, with its many bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours it is the centre of the resort of Mil Palmeras, popular with both Spanish and English visitors. Most evenings during the summer months there is a nightly market here. Eating out on the costa blanca is still fairly inexpensive compared to the UK. A typical Menu of the Day is around 12 euros per person and includes 3 courses with a beer or glass of wine.
Plaza Pueblo Latina
Plaza Pueblo Latina is at the heart of the typically spanish village of Torre de la Horadada, a short stroll from the apartment, with a good choice of retaurants, bars and ice cream parlours. Perfect for families with small children in an enclosed pedestrian area. Perfect for sitting in one of the many bars relaxing in the warm evenings, as your children play in full view.
Torre de la Horadada Marina
The picturesque marina of Torre de la Horadada is overlooked by many restaurants and bars and is ideal for an evening stroll along the sea front or dining out looking over the Mediteranian Sea.
Local beaches
The Costa Blanca is renowned for its beautiful white sandy beaches and warm blue sea. The Blue Flag beach of Mil Palmeras is typical of the region, with plenty of room even in high season and its gentle slope lnto te sea makes it ideal for swimming and for children playing in the surf. Next door Torre beach is very popular with the Spanish and does get quite busy in high season, however, a short stroll along the coast you will find many smaller coves which are much quieter all year round.
